Let’s be honest, one of the harshest parts of falling in love with Volkswagen is realizing just how many models we don’t get to see here in the U.S. market. Whether we’re pondering anniversary editions of the GTI, which never seem to make it to our shores, or we’re crossing our fingers over the Golf R400, the question of whether or not a new model will come to America seems to constantly be on our tongues. We understand why VW is hesitant to bring new models to our market, but they automaker has been noticeably lacking in option for one very important segment: the SUV. Yes, the Touareg and Tiguan are both excellent options, but the former appeals almost exclusively to the luxury-minded crowd and the latter is in need of a redesign. Which is just what it will be getting for the next model year. 2016 Volkswagen Golf technology and changes

The worst thing an automaker can do is release a car, read the reviews, and refuse to acknowledge its past problems. Volkswagen is one manufacturer that can be depended on to learn from its mistakes, continuing to improve year after year. This past model year was a good one for the Golf, with the vehicle earning the Motor Trend Car of the Year Award, but that doesn’t mean it was absolutely perfect.
