What You Need to Know About Jetta Haus New York

All New Jetta 2019

From May 18 – 20, Jetta Haus New York rolled into Brooklyn, NY, letting guests get up close and personal with the all-new 2019 Jetta. In attendance, Trend Motors Volkswagen was able to check out Jetta firsthand – before the lineup arrives at dealerships across the country in the coming months. Here’s everything you need to know about the interactive art car experience.

The Pop-Up Event

Taking place at Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse, the three-day Jetta Haus New York pop-up celebrated music, art and the completely redesigned 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. Representatives from Trend Motors Volkswagen were able to take Jetta for a test drive on an illuminated closed course and experience the new technologies that elevate the compact car to a whole new level.

During the event, immersive visual experiences – provided by the Betta Lab art spaces and an arcade of retro games – captured Jetta’s vibrant and fun-to-drive nature. Many of the experiences were inspired by the 2019 Jetta’s turbo engine, available 10-color ambient lighting and available BeatsAudio sound system. Performances from local musicians, including City of the Sun and Oak & Ash, were sponsored by Beats by Dr. Dre, Red Bull Records and SiriusXM, providing a lively backdrop as our team learned all about the new Jetta.

About the 2019 Jetta

Now in its seventh generation, the VW Jetta has been completely redesigned from the ground up for the 2019 model year. It’s the first Volkswagen available with BeatsAudio, and it’s sportier and more driver-focused than ever before. Mood lighting for every journey is provided by the available 10-color interior ambient lighting, while App-Connect keeps music, contacts and apps at the ready by letting you connect your compatible smartphone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. For invigorating, yet fuel-efficient, performance, Jetta comes standard with a turbocharged engine that offers an EPA-estimated 40 mpg highway with the manual transmission.

What You Need to Know About the “Betta Getta Jetta” Campaign

All across the country, the hype for the 2019 Jetta is mounting, and here at Trend Motors Volkswagen, we’re excited to announce that it’s finally arrived. Redesigned and re-engineered, Jetta is entering its seventh generation as a sporty, yet cool-headed, compact sedan. And with its arrival comes the “Betta Getta Jetta” campaign, going on now through September 2018. To kick off the campaign, which will put the focus on Jetta’s bold style and performance with cool tunes and a vehicle-inspired look via social, digital and broadcast ads over the summer months, here are some of the top features that Jetta has to offer.

Meet Jetta’s Remixed Design

Whether you’re admiring Jetta from the front window of your home or sitting behind the wheel, you can’t help but notice the sleeker and more comfortable design. On the outside, Jetta sports LED headlights and Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), as well as LED taillights, offering a more refined sense of style.

Inside, you can relax in the driver-focused interior. Available customizable interior ambient lighting lets you select one of 10 colors to set the mood, while the optional power panoramic sunroof brings in natural light. No matter the time of year, the optional heated and ventilated seating surfaces raise your driving comfort to a whole new level.

What about Tech?

Along with a completely redesigned interior and exterior, the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta received some welcome tech updates as well. Perhaps the most notable, Jetta is the first VW to get the available BeatsAudio sound system. In other words, you now get a whole sound studio right in your vehicle. You can also opt for the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, which displays speed, fuel economy, route guidance and more on a 10-inch screen. Plus, it’s totally customizable.

If that’s not enough tech for you, there’s the standard VW Car-Net App-Connect. This infotainment system lets you plug in your compatible smartphone and access apps via Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or MirrorLink on the touchscreen display.

The Future of Volkswagen with New Models and Electric Cars

With the VW Atlas arriving next spring and the rollout of local MEB (Modular Electric Model) manufacturing scheduled to begin in 2021, the TRANSFORM 2025+ program announced last month is only the tip of the iceberg for Volkswagen. Focused on forging an industry-leading role in e-mobility and connectivity, Volkswagen is repositioning itself and implementing a multi-step program to set a course for the next 10 years and beyond. Revealing ambitious strategies for restructuring and a return to sustainable, profitable growth, VW is anticipating the development of the industry’s most dominant digital ecosystem by 2025.

Volkswagen: Moving People Forward

With plans to roll out more economy cars in world markets, such as India, South America and Russia, Volkswagen aims to become the top volume distributor through a realignment strategy and a uniform global brand system. In North America, Volkswagen is focusing its efforts on developing large SUVs and sedans to evolve from a more niche supplier into a large-scale producer.

Coming Soon

Arriving in the spring of 2017, the seven-passenger, three-row VW Atlas is the latest addition to the US lineup. Built in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the midsize SUV features an eight-speed automatic transmission and will be available with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine or a 3.6-liter VR6 engine. Aggressively styled, the front fascia boasts a corporate grille design and domineering LED headlights, while the rear incorporates dual exhausts for a sporty look. With Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning and Park Steering Assist, the 2018 VW Atlas comes loaded with high-tech safety features to drive you forward.

Later in 2017, the rollout of the second-generation Tiguan crossover is scheduled to hit the US market. With plans to push the Touareg upmarket, Volkswagen is in the works to develop three additional SUV models, including the production version of the T-Prime GTE Concept, as well as a sub-compact crossover and a compact model.

Electric Cars On The Horizon

In an initiative to refocus their brand core, Volkswagen is set to begin local production of electric vehicles in 2021. Backed by massive investments in e-mobility, connectivity and electric infrastructure, VW aspires to become the heart of the automobile market by 2025, with a plan to sell a million electric cars per year. As stated by Dr. Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Volkswagen brand’s Board of Management, “Our future electric cars will be the new trademark of Volkswagen.” With efforts to ensure secure, sustainable mobility, Volkswagen is prepared for a swift journey into the future.
